Tampa, FL – Tampa used car dealership Car Credit’s “Corazones de Car Credit” charitable organization has selected the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tampa Bay as its monthly winner for November 2019. Corazones de Car Credit, a program which recognizes Tampa Bay area charitable organizations for helping those newly immigrated to the country, awarded the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tampa Bay $2000.
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tampa Bay serves the Community of Tampa, while focusing on Hispanic owned businesses. Their board of directors is comprised of volunteer, non-paid, committed professionals. For more than 30 years, The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Tampa Bay has been serving the community by advocating, promoting, and facilitating the success of Hispanic Business in the Tampa Bay Area.
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tampa Bay provides scholarships for students in need. The Chamber also helps businesses in need by providing tools, education, and resources to help them grow and develop.
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tampa Bay provides support and leadership in business in the following areas:
- Technical assistance for Entrepreneurs
- Promoting local and International trade between Hispanic businesses in the Tampa Bay area, across the United States, and into Latin American countries.
- Promoting and advocating the businesses of our members.
- Partnering with other community-driven non-profits and businesses
- Imparting business strategies to our many members to strengthen their businesses with a focus on assisting the economic development of the Tampa Bay and St. Petersburg area.
Diane Cortes, president of The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tampa Bay, says The Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce Tampa Bay is “the voice for Hispanic Business Community in Tampa and St. Petersburg.”
When asked why she thought they were awarded with the grant and recognition, Cortes said: “Our Board of Directors and myself give many hours of our time and spend our resources, either financial or our collected expertise, to impact our community and Hispanic students. We work selflessly and in unity for the wellbeing of our community. We do all of this with no federal or state funding.”
The $2,000 grant that the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Tampa Bay received from Corazones de Car Credit will be dispersed to help provide the tools and resources to struggling small Hispanic owned businesses in the greater Tampa Bay area.
