Car Credit Tampa, a popular used car dealership in the Tampa area, has been supporting its local community for more than 25 years. Every month, Car Credit recognizes a local charity organization for its support in the Hispanic community. The prizes include $2,000 in cash rewards or items to assist the charity’s mission.
For the month of August, Corazones de Car Credit recognizes a unique local organization, the Wimauma Opportunity Center, Inc.
The Wimauma Opportunity Center, LLC was created by Enterprising Latinas, Inc. to provide services for families. The property used to be a restaurant that was converted into a center for residents of the community to learn new skills, meet new friends and access resources and opportunities for their families.
The Wimauma Opportunity Center over a short period of time, has become the Go To place in Wimauma for families to access services that help families become stronger and more prosperous.
“This gift will support our women entrepreneurs to launch and build their micro-enterprises, which ensure the well-being and prosperity of their families.” says Elizabeth Gutierrez, Founder and CEO of the center. “The gift will be used to support the businesses of the three entrepreneurs featured in the promotion; each will receive a grant of $300.00. The remaining $1,100 will be used to capitalize a micro-loan fund that will provide $300.00 – $1,500 loans to entrepreneurs.”
