Tampa used car dealership Car Credit’s “Corazones de Car Credit” charitable organization has selected the Coalition of Hispanic Artists as its monthly winner for June 2019. Corazones de Car Credit, a program which recognizes Tampa Bay area philanthropic organizations for helping those newly immigrated to the Country, awarded the Coalition of Hispanic Artists $2000.

The Coalition of Hispanic Artists (CHA) is a nonprofit organization founded in April 2007 and incorporated in March 2008. The Mission of the CHA is to serve Hispanic artists of the greater Tampa Bay area and the State of Florida by providing a voice for their artistry in various mediums and cultural genres, showcasing their works, providing grounds for interaction between artists and art viewers through education, group and solo exhibitions, and invitations. In doing so, it seeks to inspire creativity, celebrate diversity, and empower the artists of Hispanic cultural heritage to realize their potential by making a positive impact within their homes, their community, and the world at large.

CHA supports the Hispanic community through scholarships and workshop programs, free cultural events, including art exhibitions for the general public. This grant will help CHA to continue to offer free educational workshops, purchase supplies for the workshops, and to help with a scholarship to a visual art student.
